Finally, A Few Pics from the Honeymoon
Yeah, yeah, the wedding pics are taking a bit longer to get online than I'd hoped, its soooo much easier to get digital pics online. But I'll get to a scanner soon and we'll get the online album put together before too long.

A little explanation is in order. The first three pics are from an amazingly cool little pull out on Highway just south of Gorda. A short ten minute hike up into the trees and we arrived at this gorgeous little waterfall spot. I shot some video of it but I'm having some issues getting the vids to play properly, something to do with the encoding or some such crap. But I'll get those up as well as the fire dancing and Mark doing a back flip in the sand. I do wish I'd been able to lighten up the last pic of the two of us and maybe I'll repost it lightened when I get some free time to get to it.
Me at Gorda Waterfall, P at Gorda Waterfall, Newlyweds at Waterfall

The next couple of pics are wedding day stuff, the first is P with Rhetta, who just has the most angelic expression and looks simply beautiful. The second pic is out on the wharf later on that evening, two pals hamming it up for the camera. And then Paul getting moonie eyes from Kim, I just liked the composition of looking through his arm to see her.

These next two pics were taken within a minute of each other, just a 180 degree spin and I got the moonrise after the sunset. Pretty cool and it was far cooler live!

And another posting of the wedding pic. There is another one that I'm waiting to get scanned in but for now this is our semi-official wedding pic.

A Tragi-Day in Pictures
I know, I was supposed to get this done much earlier this week or even over the weekend but things have been busy and I got a new game (Madden 2003) for the PS2 so cut me some slack.

My birthday, 9/11, and the anniversary of the worst terrorist attack in our nation's history (yeah, like you all needed that reminder) began quietly, a little after midnight I remembered that it was actually officially my birthday. So I grabbed my camera and headed out to snap a few pics to start the day(night) off right. Full Moon Its hard to snap pics of the full moon and have them mean something so I just snapped and went back to bed (and yes, this is the best of the bunch).

After finally getting bed, we rolled out, packed up and headed up over the hill to drop off the car and get a ride to the airport. We parked in Los Gatos, a lovely day out and I shot this pic of the street, Los Gatos Street and the Jetta, Jetta in Los Gatos.

After our pal got out of his meeting, we were dropped off at the airport and were soon awaiting the boarding call to take the first of our flights for the day, Boarding Area. Not much over security so far on the day, just a normal check point. I later learned that travelling with P was part of the reason, I no longer fit the single guy profile. Oh boy, no more body cavity checks!

Once we were settled in and the plane was continuing to fill, On the plane awaiting takeoff, I started playing with my false zoom lens attachment, Zoom pics and what happens when you snap a pic through the wrong end of the monocular, Wrong End of Monocular.

We got to fly over Lake Tahoe during the daylight, which was cool as I'd not seen it before (or hadn't been paying attention or was in a non-window seat), Boarding Area, more Boarding Area and some more Boarding Area. Later on there was a cool and huge S in a river we flew over, Big River S.

And then the wing tip was just begging to have its picture taken, Northwest Wing Tip.

The next thing I knew, we were on the ground in Minnesota, in the rain, Mini-Soda Rain, and no Sedalina sightings, damn! Oh well, how about another pic of the rain? Rainy Airport in Mini-Soda. The nice thing about flying is that you can almost always rise above the nasty weather and see a decent sunset if the timing is right, Sunset at 37,000 feet.

New York was mellow, quiet and people seemed to be very cool to each other. The pics of the WTC memorial didn't come out so I'll have to cheat here and post some that aren't mine. But it was every bit as brilliant and poignant and calming in real life as in the pictures. A ground level shot of my own, 9/11 in New York, before we headed up the street to Gray's Papaya, Gray's Papaya for a little snack, the continuation of a tradition and to introduce P to one of my favorite New York City landmarks, Inside Gray's Papaya.

Then it was back to the apartment, a night's rest and the weekend up to Maine with the family. And yes, those pictures forthcoming as well.

The Real Reason Men Die Before Women
The first of two excellent forwards from EB at the end of last week. Click them each to see a bigger version. My personal favorite is the bottom right hand one with the guy going into the tunnel on the bus. He's just so blissfully oblivious to the fact that he's about to go bye-bye.

Kobe Bryant Rape Case Pic
Here she is, Katelyn Faber, the young woman who's accused the LA Lakers star of raping her.

And, surprise surprise, most Kobe fans are reviling her and calling her a gold digging slut.

But there's far, far more to this whole case than a knee jerk reaction compelled primarily by a shallow desire to win another NBA title. Hey people, get your heads out of your asses and recognize that he may be a violent criminal.

Pics from the Weekend of Camping in Big Sur
The best of the pics or the ones I'm going to share this time around, from last weekend's camping trip to Big Sur. We stayed at a place called Riverside which was a nice spot although the camp sites were too close together (read that, we got told to quiet down both nights we were there even though there was no shouting going on at all).

So here they are, in no particular order but aside from putting Paul's koozy pic first just to make him smile. Most pics are self explanatory but for those that aren't, leave a question in the comments and I'll explain.

Long Overdue Updates
Not much this time around but its now on my list of things that do need to get some attention soon.

For today though, two pics, one a pic of a painting from a wedding a few weeks ago that is far more impressive in person than an image can convey.
Mini Wedding Oil

And another pic, Man Under Car, no, its not what you think. There's more but I really have got to go.

And, from this last weekend there will be a bunch of new pics. Some of the camping but also a good number of natural shots, a few fire pics and some drive pics as well. I need to start to really gather up the pics I've been shooting and post them properly. Anyone got a spare two or three days to do this for me? Yeah, that'd be cool!

Okay, a few more pics before I roll.

Mutual of Omaha Moment in Santa Cruz
Oh yeah, I've also got a few pics from the weekend that were pretty cool although it was far cooler to see it live. They need to be set up some to be understood. The first two are of the heron as it gets ready to lunge at a small furry critter it caught sight of as it flew by. The third is the lunge followed by the grab, the getaway and then a long distance grainy shot of the heron killing the mole or whatever it was before it became dinner. My own little Marlin Perkins Mutual of Omaha Special right here in Seabright.

Recent Rainbow Pictures and a few from the Day
Reposted from Intellectual Poison.

The first four pictures are taken from the top deck of my old house in Seabright down by the beach. The last two were shot out front above the beach itself, I don't know how the lighting came out the way it did but I'm not complaining. And I'm working on converting the last one into a post card or a bumper sticker CafePress is really too cool for small batch custom printing. Anyway, I think I'm going to construct an online photo gallery of my best pictures but not today. Today enjoy the pictures (and for you Aussies and other visitors from overseas looking for panty skirt see through pictures, click here).

Of Japanese X-Ray Panty Skirts
Yep, here they are, those now famous see through (see thru) Japanese Panty Skirts. Have at them and have fun. I'm very much looking forward to the next joy out of Japan. Maybe next time they'll omit the panties and go for nekkid X-Ray shots? Or they'll go for the bizarre and put a construction worker's butt on a housewife? Or vice versa? The idea begs so many permutations that its just out of control. (click pics for full size images)
