Color WWI Photos

I'm still skeptical that its some kind of colourized hoax but check out these French WWI Photos in color. Pretty interesting way to look at that war after so long of seeing nothing black and whites.

Some of the images are particularly interesting, like this one and this one among the others.

I've been warned against the rest of the site so consider this warning to avoid the rest of the site unless you have a burning need to embedded patriotic midis and "extreme patriotism" themes.

Empowering Children Through the Art of Photography

With an Oscar Nominated documentary, Born into Brothels ,under her belt, Zana Briski's spinoff project, Kids with Cameras, teaches children growing up in difficult circumstances the art and skills of photography to empower them to appreciate the beauty and dignity of their own expression.

With projects in Calcutta, Haiti, Jerusalem and Cairo, they send great photographers to lead workshops, the children are given inexpensive 35mm cameras to capture whatever they choose and then the children's pictures are shown (and sold) around the world through exhibits, books and film.

What price fame say you? I bid you click on Keanu Heaves and see that even your should be private moments can be caught on film and broadcast.

So, if you get famous, get used to not picking your nose anymore. Or, if you must pick, wipe it off somewhere and don't eat it, ya sick bastidge!

The unseen war - a photoset on Flickr depicts toy soldiers but the images are excellent and well put together. Very cool stuff and a new find via the Flickr Blog, one of my new favorite blogs, they sift Flickr for the best and coolest shots. What a great job!
